Tarde Instrumental

Building audiences and providing free access to instrumental music for students, families and communities.

Tarde Instrumental presented free musical performances between 2010 and 2013, beginning in Passos, Minas Gerais, and continuing at various CEUs — Unified Educational Centers — across São Paulo. The project aimed to broaden access to high-quality instrumental music, especially for audiences who rarely attended theaters and cultural venues.

The partnership with the CEUs brought together artists, students, families and communities while keeping the initiative free and educational. In Passos, the performance took place in a public space and was documented as a significant cultural event for the city. In São Paulo, the project toured centers including Parque Anhanguera, Pera Marmelo, Jaguaré, Perus and Vila Atlântica.

Through free instrumental music performances in Passos, Minas Gerais, and at various CEUs in São Paulo, the project reached approximately 5,000 students.

• Nine musical performances.
• Attendance of approximately 5,000 students.
• An estimated reach of 400,000 people through communications and publicity.
• Performances in Passos, Minas Gerais, and at CEUs across São Paulo.
• A performance by Trio Sincopado at CEU Paz on November 24, 2013.
• Greater exposure to Brazilian instrumental music for students.
