Our Story in Ubatuba
AGaleria Ubatuba’s story began in June 2022, with the creation of a space dedicated to art and culture at Ribeira Mall, in Saco da Ribeira. Between June and November, the venue underwent renovations and the first exhibitions began to take shape, bringing to life a project designed to connect artists, artworks and audiences. The official opening took place on November 27, 2022, with the group exhibition A Arte dos Arquétipos (The Art of Archetypes), which remained on view until January 2023. Curated by Adriana Scartaris and Oscar D’Ambrosio, the exhibition marked the beginning of a journey shaped by encounters, diverse artistic languages and new cultural connections. In the following years, AGaleria hosted group exhibitions, live music performances, workshops and experiences featuring artists from Ubatuba and other regions. Highlights included Reflexões (Reflections), Múltiplos Territórios (Multiple Territories) and Oceanos (Oceans), as well as performances by Leo Susi and his guests, Sylvia Patricia, Ney Marques and Osny Melo, and painting workshops led by Bia Campacci. In August 2024, the physical venue completed its cycle, but the story continued. AGaleria embraced a nomadic format, bringing artworks, curatorial projects and experiences into homes, businesses and other special spaces—keeping alive its purpose of connecting people through art.
A abertura oficial aconteceu em 27 de novembro de 2022, com a exposição coletiva The Art of Archetypes, que permaneceu em cartaz até janeiro de 2023. Com curadoria de Adriana Scartaris e Oscar D’Ambrosio, a mostra inaugurou uma trajetória construída por meio de encontros, diferentes linguagens e novas conexões culturais.
Nos anos seguintes, a AGaleria recebeu exposições coletivas, apresentações musicais, oficinas e experiências que reuniram artistas de Ubatuba e de outras regiões. Entre esses momentos estiveram Reflections, Multiple Territories e Oceans, além de apresentações com Leo Susi e seus convidados, Sylvia Patricia, Ney Marques e Osny Melo, e oficinas de pintura conduzidas por Bia Campacci.
Em agosto de 2024, o espaço físico encerrou seu ciclo, mas a história continuou. A AGaleria assumiu um formato itinerante, levando obras, curadorias e experiências para residências, empresas e outros espaços especiais — mantendo vivo o propósito de aproximar pessoas por meio da arte.
