The Produção Musical CC — Capão–Congonhas project expanded access to music education through free guitar, singing and percussion lessons. Held at EMEF José Olympio Pereira Filho, in Capão Redondo, São Paulo, the initiative introduced students to group music-making and opportunities to engage with professional musicians.

Proposed by ASPA and carried out through PROMAC, with management by Árvore Cultural and sponsorship from Accor, the project involved 70 students who regularly attended ten months of workshops, from August 2024 to May 2025.

The weekly activities provided opportunities for learning, shared experiences and talent discovery. The program included the Afinando Talentos workshop with Jorginho Neto Septeto, bringing students and teachers together to listen, exchange ideas and engage with music.

On June 14, 2025, 25 students performed at the project’s closing event during the school’s traditional June festival, for an estimated audience of 250 people. The event shared some of what students had learned throughout the workshops with families, teachers and the community.

The experience also opened up new opportunities for further music education. One female student continues to attend the Escola de Música do Auditório Ibirapuera, while another attended the program but is no longer enrolled. A male student also took the entrance exam and continues to seek admission. These individual journeys show how the project encouraged an interest in further musical studies.
